| There
has been a world wide revival of stained glass over the last 20-30 years.
No longer considered solely for ecclesiastical buildings, or just for
decorative art, it is also an independent art form. In the last decade
alone, stained glass has evolved and grown, with fresh technical innovations
and the emergence of a broader range of styles.
I have been working with stained glass for approximately 9 years. My
first project was a small stained glass panel, my second a mosaic. The
joy in producing these projects using such vibrant and brightly coloured
glass inspired me to undertake traditional stained glass classes.
I now work to commission, making windows of various sizes, shapes and
designs, using traditional methods; lampshades and other copper foiled
projects, but specialise mainly in stained glass mosaics.
I make all the items shown in my gallery by hand, with care and great
attention to detail, reflecting my love of the beautiful stained glass
that I use. I feel that in particular the copper foiled work and stained
glass mosaics would make unusual and thoughtful gifts for birthdays and
Christmas. They would also be ideal as a gift for friends/family that
have just moved home, or for special occasions such as weddings or christenings
or just to welcome the arrival of a new baby.
